I am thrilled to share that I am helping to change lives through the Power of Bicycles! I'm raising funds and awareness for World Bicycle Relief, a global nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals overcome the barrier of distance in developing communities around the world.

Throughout rural regions, women and girls face cultural obstacles that limit their access to quality education, well-paid employment, quality reproductive healthcare, and property rights. That’s why World Bicycle Relief aims to direct 70% of program bicycles to women and girls. With access to bicycles, they can unlock their potential.

I'm be cycling 170 miles from Bridlington to Morecambe over three days from 17th May. This will be my first multi day ride and I'll be ride solo and self supported.

Originally this was a personal challenge with no goal in mind. However, after multiple people asking, "why?", and being inspired watching a video on the incredible Buffalo Bike, I decided to raise awareness for this charity.

For me bikes are an escape, exercise and fun but loading it with a tent and enough equipment for three days you realise how versatile they are. Bringing bikes to people in rural regions can make a huge impact to their lives. Where distance is a barrier to attending school, receiving healthcare, delivering goods to market and other critical services needed to thrive.
