We will meet at the Koishikawa Botanical Garden ticket gate at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 1 and stay there about 30-45 minutes. Then, we will ride to Ueno Park and have lunch. The various parks and gardens we will visit should have irises (possibly hydrangea). Depending on where you live, the ride should be approximately 50 KM. Please look for sponsors or offer a donation yourself on this page if you can for World Bicycle Relief (look at http://www.worldbicyclerelief.org for information about this wonderful group - your donation makes a difference). Route: Koishikawa Botanical Park - Ueno Park - Sumida Park - Horikiri Iris Garden - Shobunuma Iris Garden - Mizumoto Park - Shibamata/Edogawa Iris Garden) We plan to finish at the Koiwa Iris Garden (on the Edogawa River) at about 5:00. Feel free to join the whole ride or any part of it. The event will be held if there is light rain, but canceled if there is steady or heavy rain.
